Here's what's frustrating me, Pancake...

Here's what's frustrating for me, Pancake. I have always been a believer that the cream will rise to the top. I never really believed the whole commonly held belief that there are a million great bands/actors/ artists that will go unnoticed because the world either doesn't understand them, they never got a break, or whatever. When something resonates it just resonates and there is no stopping it, like Tyra. Ok maybe not Tyra. But having been on both sides of it (He's Just Not That Into You resonated, The Greg Behrendt Show did not), I always felt my assertion was right, that is until about six months ago at the urging of a friend I bought Let Go by Nada Surf. If you don't know them or think you know the name they had a song called POPULAR that MTV played a lot around the same time Weezer's Sweater song was en vogue. It was sort of a novelty song and so I never investigated beyond that point...my mistake and perhaps everyone else's.

Holy shit !
I can't even find the words to describe them correctly. I always find the more I am rocked by something emotionally the harder it is for me to put into words but if you like the kind of romantically charged indie fare they like to use on Grey's Anatomy or 6 Feet Under or if you possess a human heart then you will wonder as I do why these guys aren't the best band in America. Check out Inside of Love from Let Go and I think you'll get it. So I guess I'm wrong, sometimes genius goes unnoticed. It's makes me wonder what else is out there that I have missed.

Thoughts?
