Beginning his career as a comedian working in small clubs, J.Reid has since established himself as a popular and extremely talented comedian as well as one of the hardest working men in show business. His show business break came when he was chosen as a contestant on BET's (Black Entertainment Television) "Coming To The Stage," which showcased talented black comedians. He tours nationally, performing his first love - stand-up - at concerts and clubs. “One of the most beautiful things in the world I've seen or heard is people laughing, even when there seems to be so little reason for them to laugh - that's a great thing to me.” J.Reid enjoys listening to hip hop music, basketball and spending time with his family. J.Reid, one of the most recognized and popular stand up comedians on the road today is now making a name for himself. J.Reid can currently be seen in Las Vegas appearing at all the comedy clubs and his own comedy show entitled "J.Reid presents The Grown and Sexy comedy show.” Reid is also working on a solo project with the release of a CD/DVD under his entertainment group; J. Reid Entertainment available December 2008. As a result of his work on BET and his quick rise in popularity among the audiences he constantly kept in stitches, Reid is proud of his association with BET and the success of "Coming To The Stage," which allowed young comedians a showcase for their talent. "We've always known that we would start to enjoy success. A lot of us wouldn't have had the opportunity if it weren't for this show," Reid says of his peers. The comedy industry is quickly taking notice of the comedic talents of Reid Booking him at some of the nations most famous venues like "The Laugh Factory", "Comic Strip Live", and "The Comedy Store" just to name a few. Just a year ago Reid got the chance to perform where most comics only dream to perform, on the Las Vegas strip. Enjoying the ride that comedy has already brought him. Reid continues to tour across the country devoting himself and his time to his first love. J.Reid is also very excited because on March 22nd 2008 his first movie will hit theaters. The movie is called "21" staring Kevin Spacey. He resides with his family in the city of Las Vegas were he continues to make audiences indulge in laughter.
